The Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board of Education voted Nov. 12 to adopt a package of board policies affecting student health, privacy, safety and activities.
Policies recorded in the minutes include: 6301 Leave for Cancer Screening; 7102 Student Medications, Allergies, Anaphylaxis; 7304 Student Automobile and Bicycle Use; 7305 Student Lockers; 7306 Scheduling Activities and Functions (plus 7306.1 Dance Sign Up Sheet); 7307 Student Visitors and 7307.1 Student Visitor Request Form; 7400 Student Supervision Review; 7500 Education Records and related FERPA forms (7500.1–7500.4); 7501 Parental Access to Instructional Materials and 7501.1 PPRA Opt Out Letter; 7502 School Safety and Educational Climate Reporting; 7600 Safe Public School Choice for victims of violent criminal offenses; and 7601 Concussion Management.
The motion to adopt the listed policies passed 4–0. The minutes do not include the text of each policy; the adoption places these policies into the district's policy manual and directs administration to implement any procedural forms cited (for example, FERPA request forms and visitor request forms).
