District proposes Business Intelligence analyst role to bolster data capacity

Superintendent Dr. Margaret Clauson recommended that the Board approve creation of a Business Intelligence Analyst position to organize and analyze student-learning, attendance and program data and to provide continuity as the district plans for the retirement of its Data Systems Manager.
Clauson said the position is intended to build internal capacity for data analysis and to ensure continuity of critical data systems work. She noted the administration is mindful of budget pressures but described the role as a targeted investment in decision-making and student success; no hiring action was recorded as completed at this meeting.
