Staff recommended increasing Task Order 11 to Finstermaker by $43,000 to cover additional engineering services related to a shoreline breakwater project, citing more than 200 additional construction days caused mainly by weather delays.
"It'll be number 11 to increase their funding to $43,000," staff said, adding that the extra engineering, contract administration and inspection work is chargeable to grant funding. Project staff said they are enforcing liquidated damages against the contractor to recover delay-related costs and that the project schedule currently runs through the end of September, with staff continuing to press the contractor to complete deliveries.
