Jury approves financial audit, insurance renewals and shoreline task order; agrees to dredging reimbursement

The Police Jury approved the parish financial-statement audit for year ending Dec. 31, 2025 and accepted a task order for Cameron Parish shorelines stabilization work. The jury also approved insurance renewals for the policy year Sept. 2026–Sept. 2027. A motion to accept an 18% renewal for group hospitalization and to increase the jury's contribution to cover 100% of premiums passed by voice vote.
Separately, jurors passed a motion authorizing reimbursement to Gravity Drainage District No. 16 for dredging Hawk Canal in the amount of $29,828.09. The jury also approved appointment motions, a $5,000 sponsorship for the 2026 Cameron Fishing Festival, and a routine motion to pay the parish's bills. All routine items were approved by voice vote unless otherwise noted.
