HCA/HGA staff said they would review prior batch differences and provide the jury with the information they requested from Baton Rouge; a parish legal/administrative motion followed. Juror 13 moved to table acceptance of bids for PPDR Batch 8 for further review; juror Sunny seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. Legal and HCA representatives warned that tabling will delay homeowner work but emphasized the parish must follow FEMA guidance and procurement law before awarding disaster-recovery contracts. The jury's action pauses award decisions and directs staff and counsel to document responsiveness, price reasonableness and whether rebid safeguards were applied equally.
