Two RV-park permit proposals draw questions on sewer and site plans

Two separate RV-park permit proposals were presented to the Cameron Parish Police Jury during the Aug. 10 meeting.
Love Kia Day, representing Triple B Army Park, said she proposes adding 48 sites to an existing park on the north side of her property at 135 Boggess Lane. "I'm with Triple b Army Park. I'm here to propose the 48 Army sites," Day told the jury. Staff responded that permits for the Cameron area are routed to the sewer board for review and that no permit is issued without the sewer board's agreement; the permit process is still in an early stage.
Luke Bresham, speaking for Landmark LLC, outlined a plan for a 163-space RV park at 130 Barber Street, describing the mix of large and small spaces, an existing entrance and surrounding land uses. The chair asked both presenters to remain during the public-comment period in case jurors had additional questions before the voting session.
