Board approves MidAmerican and Southern Sioux County utility construction permits

At the April 7 meeting the O’Brien County Board of Supervisors approved a utility construction application from MidAmerican Energy Company for work on 330th Street between Nettle Avenue and Walker Street (route from Sheldon to Sanborn). The motion was recorded as moved by Rohwer and seconded by Friedrichsen and carried by all ayes.
The board also approved a separate application from Southern Sioux County Rural Water System for installation that runs from Section 36 in Sioux County to Section 31 in O’Brien County under McKinley Avenue. That motion was moved by Friedrichsen and seconded by Vanden Hull and likewise carried by all ayes; the minutes do not provide construction schedules or permitting conditions.
