Commissioners direct engineer review for Pier Street and community-garden parking expansion

Several residents described day-to-day congestion and safety concerns on Pier Street during the tourist season. Resident Elaine F (speaker 9) said, "It is a very busy street during season," and urged timely action to prevent unsafe conditions for children and pedestrians. Commissioners agreed the next step is to obtain an engineer's assessment of turning radii, ADA landings, and exact space counts; after that the commission will hold a workshop to finalize design, signage (including QR-code wayfinding), and phased implementation.
