Huachuca City council schedules April 2 work session to study possible annexations

The Huachuca City Town Council on March 26 directed staff to study possible annexation of land along Highway 90 north of town and parcels in the 400 and 500 blocks of Lower Huachuca City and scheduled a work session for April 2, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Town Manager Suzanne Harvey said the review will examine the costs of extending municipal services, property-owner interest in becoming town residents, and whether annexation would benefit current residents.
"I wanted this back on the Agenda so we can get a work session scheduled and really get into it and see what we are looking at," Mayor Johann R. Wallace said as the council agreed to set the April 2 meeting. The council directed staff to prepare estimates and background materials for that session so members can weigh service, fiscal and resident-impact questions before any formal action.
