Roads report: truck back for recurring DEF problem, grading and chloride work to begin; mowing tractor bid tabled

Maurice Jettie reported the 2021 truck is back at International with a recurring DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) issue and that it is not clear whether the dealer will cover the repair under warranty. He urged that repeated service for the same problem should be covered given recent work on the same issue.
Maurice said grading has begun on town roads and chloride application will start this week. The Selectboard had no decision on the mowing tractor bid and tabled that item. Maurice also reported the insulation project at the garage, completed by Chris Panko Insulation, was done well. The board noted Moody's checks that two poles lacked fixtures and streetlight electric costs remain about $500 per month.
