The Town of Fairfield Selectboard agreed on May 26 to cover the cost of a vehicle repair after a visitor reported a rock allegedly struck her car during beach mowing. The visitor provided two repair estimates, the lower totaling just over $900, and the board agreed to pay up to $1,000 and asked the visitor to coordinate payment with Town Administrator Cathy Ainsworth.
Selectboard members expressed appreciation for Shayne Bocash’s volunteer in-kind work keeping the beach clean and accessible, and Ron Bocash recused himself from that agenda item. The board’s direction was an administrative approval rather than a formal voted motion recorded with a mover or second.
