PIAB accepts Liberty Tree plaque; board discusses trail naming, ADU workshop and Bee City USA activities

Public Works Operations Manager Ryan Howell presented a proposed Liberty Tree plaque from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and distributed a photo and proposed wording. Jay Larson moved to accept the plaque at Veteran’s Park; Norby Chartrey seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 5‑0.
Susan Rush asked board members to review a trail map and bring trail‑naming suggestions to the next meeting; she also asked members to review Cricket Pitch materials (discussion tabled until the next meeting). Rush summarized that an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) workshop was well attended by the community and vendors, and noted there is a physical ADU example nearby. Jay Larson reported Great NorthWest Ice Cream Company will post a Bee City USA sign, sell a Honey chamomile flavor, and coordinate with the library on Bee City events; the group discussed reaching out to Wilco to request seed donations for National Night Out.
