Council unanimously adopted a resolution (25‑053) to accept a $10,000 donation from Ron Novak and Patricia Lesko to support an all‑access trail project at New Riverlands Park; City Manager Robbie explained the city must accept donations by resolution. "This is a donation to the city, in, the amount of of $10,000 from, Pat Lesko and her and her husband," Robbie said during the presentation.
The council also approved archaeological investigations (25‑054) for two historic properties as part of a seven‑site program using the contractor Arkeos Facial Analytics to conduct ground‑penetrating‑radar work. Separately, the Historic Preservation Commission's request to buy a marker for $4,609.82 from Lakeshore Industries for installation at the scout hut was approved (25‑055) with commission budget funds. In addition, staff described a deeded dedication of about 4.28 acres from Keith Ruth that will provide a trail connection from Hutchinson Ferry Road to New Riverlands Park; council voted to accept the parcel (25‑057).
