The Sweet Home Board of Education voted unanimously Feb. 10 to approve class placements for students with disabilities for the 2025–2026 school year after review by the District Committee on Special Education.
The resolution, offered following a motion by board member Brian Laible and seconded by Scott M. Johnson, said the placements were recommended to Superintendent Dr. Michael V. Ginestre and noted that parents had approved the placements. The minutes record the board adopting the recommendation, and the motion passed by a 7–0 vote. "RESOLVED: That, the 2025-2026 placements for students with disabilities be approved as recommended in a memorandum to Dr. Michael V. Ginestre, Superintendent of Schools, dated January 27, 2026," the minutes state.
The board approved a companion resolution for preschool special‑education placements under Policy 7614, also noting District Committee review and parental approval. Board members said the approvals followed standard committee processes; no dissent or amendments were recorded.
