Chief Scott wins board approval to renew police body-camera contract for five years

Board members acknowledged the price increase but said the equipment is essential. The chair noted the cost will be funded from a mix of department and park funds and moved to approve the renewal; the motion passed by voice vote.
The board took no further action on procurement details at the meeting. Chief Scott said the department will proceed with the five-year renewal and implement the updated system.
