City staff said Greystone Power proposed 11 poles and staff recommended adding an additional light at the entrance for 12 total. The capital cost for poles was estimated at $1,340 each for a total of about $16,080, and the city will pay roughly $11.75 per pole per month in electricity and service — roughly $141 per month and $1,619 per year for all 12 poles, staff said.
Staff told the council this is not the city’s standard practice for new subdivisions but that the city is taking responsibility in this case because of the prior county zoning designation. The motion to adopt 25‑060 (amended to 12 lights) carried unanimously.
