Library trustees to press Friends and Foundation for 501(c)(3) support at April meeting

The minutes note that without active support from these 501(c)(3) organizations the library cannot secure donations or grants from some donors and vendors, naming ACE Hardware and Lowe's as examples.
The report to trustees said the Friends did apply for three grants (Random House, Dollar General and VEC) but that no representatives from either group were present at the Feb. 11 meeting. The board set the April 8 meeting as the next opportunity for the groups to confirm grant support and other fundraising commitments.
