Highway Superintendent Ben Smith presented an itemized July report listing completed tasks: replacement of driveway pipes on Shauger, Harrison and Smith roads; cleaning culverts and replacing crossover pipes (including increasing a crossover on Knowles Road from 18‑inch metal to 24‑inch plastic); grading, raking, rolling and brining on Yost, Shauger, Dixon, Harrison, Hanrahan and portions of Foster; and sign replacements and roadside mowing.
Smith also reported equipment status: the brine truck's water pump failed but has been replaced and is back in service. Truck 412 (a Chevy 5500) has a severely deteriorated diesel tank and sending unit that have been discontinued; a replacement tank may be fabricated by Sonny’s Service but could take a couple of months. The board noted these operational constraints as work priorities.
