Council postpones vote on EMS fee increases; 2026 cap noted at 2%

EMS Chief Robbins told the Council that "under State law the City may increase EMS fees annually by up to the lesser of 10% or Medicare’s adjustment rate; for 2026 the limit is 2%." After brief discussion, Kevin D. Edmonds moved to postpone consideration of the fee change; Scott E. Shrader seconded. The motion passed 6 Ayes, 0 Nays. No new fee rates were adopted at the meeting.
