Council votes to deny TNMP rate change and seek reimbursement of rate-case costs

The Dickinson City Council on March 10 adopted Resolution XXX-2026 finding that Texas-New Mexico Power Company's application to change electric rates within the city should be denied and directing that the company reimburse the City’s reasonable rate-case expenses.
The resolution as read by staff directs notice to the company and legal counsel and states the Council’s position that the rate change should be denied. Bill Schick moved to approve the resolution; Scott E. Shrader seconded. The motion passed 6 Ayes, 0 Nays. The action obligates staff to provide notice of the resolution to Texas-New Mexico Power Company and the City’s legal counsel.
