Karen McDermitt, president of the Chippewa Valley Pickleball Club, summarized the club’s 2026 plans: league play starting in May using six courts while leaving other courts available for the public, beginner lessons in May and June, full-court use on June 20 and the PPA tournament at the end of July. McDermitt said the club had nearly 700 members in 2025 and is seeking donor funding including a donor sign and $100 donor bricks to complete remaining projects.
The Commission thanked the club for its coordination and noted it will continue to balance club events with public access. The Commission earlier approved Chippewa Chambers’ one-day use of courts on Sept. 15 with no objections from members.
