Rep. Callan explained that state statute includes a seat on the Washington Thriving Leadership Council for a member of the Children Youth Behavioral Health Work Group and asked how the group prefers to provide nominations to the governor's office (single name, a pool of candidates, or another process). Michelle asked whether the leadership council includes lived experience seats; Rep. Callan said the statute does provide for lived‑experience representation in the council. Members also discussed the unknown time commitment until the council forms and suggested nominating alternates or backups to ensure continuity.
Staff will take input and draft recommended nomination criteria to share with the co‑chairs and the work group; members were invited to submit names or nominations by email in the interim.
