Board finalizes 2025–26 safety plan, approves Parent Handbook and transportation manual

At its Aug. 20 meeting the Tioga Central Board of Education approved several district policy documents for the 2025–26 school year, including the Parent Handbook and the Transportation Manual, and gave final approval to the 2025–26 District‑Wide Safety Plan.
The items were presented as part of the Old/New Business agenda and approved as listed by a 7-0 vote. The agenda also included a first reading of proposed Public Comment Guidelines for board meetings. Separately, the board granted a transportation request from James Howey to provide transportation for his children to and from Epiphany School for the 2025–26 year.
Board minutes list the handbook, transportation manual and safety plan by title but do not provide line-item changes or the text of the Public Comment Guidelines in the minutes; administrators did not note an effective date beyond the 2025–26 school year.
