Tioga Central accepts resignations and approves new hires, student teachers and substitutes

At its Aug. 20 meeting, the Tioga Central Board accepted personnel actions including resignations and multiple approvals for the 2025-26 school year. The board accepted Samantha Rose’s resignation from her English teacher position effective Aug. 31, 2025, and Erin Nichols’ resignation from her bus driver position effective Aug. 18, 2025.
The board approved student-teacher placements for the fall semester (Erin Mason, Binghamton University, with Noah Schweiger; Tricia Soper, SUNY Cortland, with Aubrey Worthing), probationary classroom appointments (Audra Jaye, Elementary K-6 beginning Sept. 1, 2025; Makena Matarese, Special Art beginning Sept. 1, 2025), a fall soccer coaching appointment for William Schanbacher (2% stipend, $1,079), and additions to the 25/26 substitute lists.
