The Tioga Central Board approved a set of financial and administrative designations during the July 9 reorganizational meeting.
The board named The Morning Times (Sayre, PA) and the Press & Sun-Bulletin (Binghamton, NY) as authorized school newspapers under Section 2004 of the Education Law. It authorized Chemung Canal, Community Bank, N.A., Tioga State Bank, M&T and JP Morgan Chase as banks for deposit of district funds and approved a change in authorized check signatories to Alexander Stout-Moran, Ming Yuan and Michael Krassin. The board also authorized petty cash: up to $150 in the Business Office and up to $275 in the High School athletic offices.
Separately, the board adopted a Tax Correction Resolution delegating authority to the Central Business Office and/or the Tax Collector to correct erroneous tax bills up to $2,500 to prevent overpayments or underpayments that could result from clerical or arithmetic errors. The motion carried by a vote recorded in the minutes.
