Staff: HEB site plan advances to council; master-plan outreach and staff departure announced

In staff updates, Reagan reported the HEB site plan was approved at the prior Planning & Zoning meeting and is scheduled to go to city council on the coming Tuesday. Reagan said staff will not hold a PNZ meeting in November and is instead focusing on comprehensive-plan outreach, calling the effort the "Murphy Master Plan" and noting the community survey will close Nov. 3.
Reagan announced that the planning/GIS administrator (Laura) is leaving for another regional-city opportunity and said staff has a potential candidate to replace her. Reagan asked commissioners to send any substantive comments on the ordinance drafts before staff returns them for a public hearing; staff expects to seek the commission's recommendation and then council adoption at the December meeting.
