Tioga Central hires legal counsel and auditors; confirms impartial hearing officer roster

The board also approved a roster of impartial hearing officers (IHOs) mandated under the Impartial Hearing Reporting System (IHRS) required by Section 200.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education; the minutes list roughly six dozen individuals approved as IHOs. The board named Dr. Donald Phykitt as School Physician and Nicholas Aiello as District Technology Coordinator. Building principals were designated as Attendance Supervision Officers in their respective buildings. Joshua Roe and principals and directors were named APPR lead evaluators under Education Law §3012-d and Regents rules.
These appointments assign external legal and audit oversight and confirm personnel who will serve in special roles for student services, evaluations and hearings next school year.
