Board approves substitute, long-term sub, probation extension and OT services
Summary
The board approved Edward Niznik as long-term substitute special education teacher (approx. Jan. 27–Feb. 21, 2025), extended teacher aide Sophia Virkler's probation through Oct. 13, 2025, and authorized a contract with Bare NeccessOT to appoint Hayly Smith as a part-time occupational therapist.
On the superintendent's recommendation the board approved several personnel and service items. Edward Niznik was appointed as a long-term substitute special education teacher from approximately Jan. 27 through Feb. 21, 2025; the board also voted to extend the probationary appointment of teacher aide Sophia Virkler through Oct. 13, 2025.
The board further authorized entering into a service agreement with Bare NeccessOT Occupational Therapy and appointed Hayly Smith as a part-time occupational therapist for the 2024–25 school year. All motions were recorded as carrying by unanimous vote, 4–0.
