Tivoli ZBA accepts minutes and schedules two public hearings for June 1

The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Tivoli accepted the Aug. 4, 2025 minutes and scheduled two public hearings for June 1, 2026, the board recorded on May 4. Acting Chairperson Karen Cleaveland moved to accept the minutes with two spelling corrections to Mark Bennett’s name; Mark Bennett seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous (Karen Cleaveland — aye; Mark Bennett — aye; Elizabeth Kiefer — aye).
The board set a 6:00 PM hearing to consider an interpretation request from Michele Greig regarding the definitions of “accessory use of a building” and “accessory building” at 45 Montgomery Street, and a 7:00 PM hearing to consider an area-variance request for a shed at 45 Montgomery Street. Both hearings were scheduled on motions by Elizabeth Kiefer, seconded by Mark Bennett. The minutes note that public hearings will be held on the third floor of the Historic Watts dePeyster Village Hall and are open to the public.
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairperson Karen Cleaveland at 7:00 PM and adjourned at 7:24 PM. Village Clerk Kris Cleaveland signed the minutes.
