Raina Kattelson and Bob Butscher (both property owners; Butscher identified himself as an architect and as author of an architectural pattern book for the Village) wrote in support, saying the design falls clearly below the allowable size limit and that Amelia Legare's plantings would integrate the building into the landscape. Mary Pat Davies also wrote in support, citing long-standing community ties and confidence in the applicants' stewardship of the property.
Supporters urged the Planning Board to approve the application as designed, citing context-sensitive design and the applicants' stated need for storage and studio space.
