Council reviews FY2026 draft budget; staff flags K-9 line and missing pool revenue

During review of the fiscal year 2026 draft budget, staff pointed out several needed edits and clarifications, including removing a K-9 line that should no longer be in the police budget and adding pool revenue figures that are not currently captured. Staff said they will incorporate Doug's more up-to-date numbers and circulate a revised draft prior to the next meeting.
"K 9 on police department is still in there that we need to take out," a staff member said, and later noted, "Right now, year to date, we're at 16,000, a little over $16,000 for, entries on the pool that we've collected." The Chair asked members to contact Lindsey or department heads with any questions about the draft before the next review.
