The Silver Falls School District 4J board voted unanimously Oct. 28 to approve Resolution No. 10-28-2024, authorizing execution of a purchase-and-sale agreement for district-owned real property known in meeting discussion as the Robert Frost property. Director Josh Ort moved the resolution and Vice Chair Derrick Foxworth seconded; the motion passed with no recorded opposition.
Interim Superintendent Kim Kellison told the board the resolution was requested by the title company and is intended to replace earlier minutes that referenced Dr. Joe Morelock by name. "This resolution gives Kim Kellison the authority to proceed," Kellison said, and the district attorney, Michael Blade, advised that the resolution would be sufficient. Director Tom Buchholz asked to remove the phrase "of the City of Silverton" from the resolution's last line; the board proceeded and then voted on the final motion.
