The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Commission approved a recommendation on July 21 to grant up to $600,000 to Valley Bank to support construction of a new bank building in Anaconda.
CEO Bill Everett described the project as a vote of confidence in the community's economic prospects and said it would bring commercial banking services that are not currently available locally. Commissioner Beausoleil moved the recommendation; Commissioner Paul Smith seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
