The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Commission approved an Economic Development Board recommendation on July 21 to provide up to $376,000 to Don's Building Center to support construction of a new building center in Anaconda.
CEO Bill Everett described the multi-year effort to secure the deal and said the expansion will keep more retail construction spending in town instead of residents traveling to Butte or other cities. "It's going to be a great addition to Anaconda," Everett said. Commissioner Steve Gates moved approval; Commissioner Paul Smith seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
