At the Jan. 20 workshop, the joint bodies proposed amending Section 82-58 (Minimum Yards) by adding a new subsection so that any structure located within the required setback would be forwarded to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for review and approval. The proposed change was described in the minutes as "Add d. to the section to state that any structure in setback is to go to ZBOA for approval."
Workshop participants treated the idea as a procedural measure to formalize variance review rather than a change to setback dimensions. No motion or vote was recorded; staff were asked to prepare draft ordinance language for future consideration.
