Clifton ISD earns A, "Superior Achievement," with perfect 100 on TEA FIRST rating; brief hearing held

Superintendent Andy Ball presented the Texas Education Agency's District Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) result and said Clifton ISD received a rating of A, "Superior Achievement," with a maximum score of 100 based on school year 2023–24 data. Mr. Ball said the district held the public hearing to satisfy the requirement to announce and present the district's final FIRST ratings within two months of TEA's Nov. 6 release.
Lisa Prescher, identified in the hearing materials as a TEA official, was listed with Mr. Ball for the official notification. No members of the public signed up to speak during the open forum. Those listed on the roll call as present were Nick Brown, Steve Conrad, Julie New and Heather Willmann; three members (Matthew Domel, Alex Montes and Josh Ritzmann) were recorded as absent. A motion to adjourn was made at 6:01 p.m., seconded, and approved 4–0 with three absences.
