At its Nov. 17 meeting, the Clifton ISD Board voted to designate specific nonbusiness days under House Bill 3033 that will not count toward the district's deadline for responding to Public Information Act (PIA) requests. The days designated are Nov. 24, 25 and 26; Dec. 22, 23, 29, 30 and 31, 2025; and Jan. 2 and 5, 2026.
Superintendent Andy Ball explained to trustees that HB 3033 permits districts to designate up to 10 nonbusiness days per school year for PIA response-time calculations and that state and federal holidays are already exempt. Trustee Heather Willmann moved to approve the listed nonbusiness days; Trustee Steve Conrad seconded and the motion passed 6–0 with one absence.
