Recreation revenue surges; board approves Brewski budget and multiple staffing postings

The board approved the 2026 Brewski budget after discussing revenue and expense lines and noted that the Recreation Department currently bears most of the cost of the ROOST contract; members said they would revisit the allocation during upcoming budget deliberations.
The board also approved advertising to fill summer positions — lifeguards (minimum age 15), day-camp counselors (minimum age 16) and a seasonal caretaker (May–October, housing provided) — and voted to accept the resignation of part-time Recreation Attendant Hayley LaLonde. Councilman Boudreau moved to approve a service agreement to secure American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguarding certification services for seasonal staff; the motion passed 5–0.
