Board approves $20,000 ROOST contract for destination marketing, citing county contribution

The Town Board approved Resolution 15/2026 to enter into an agreement with the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) for destination marketing, website/social-media work, visitor services and reporting. The agreement is effective Feb. 1, 2026, through Jan. 31, 2027, at a Town contribution of $20,000; the record notes an additional $65,000 contribution from Franklin County.
Councilman Boudreau moved the resolution and the vote to approve the ROOST agreement carried 5–0. During discussion he noted the Recreation Department currently bears most of the cost of the ROOST contract and recommended revisiting the funding split during budget planning.
