The Clifton ISD Board approved an interlocal cooperation agreement with the City of Clifton to provide security services at home varsity football and basketball contests.
CISD Superintendent Andy Ball explained the agreement continues the district's prior arrangement and said "the cost per hour did not increase." The board approved the agreement on a motion by Josh Ritzmann, seconded by Steve Conrad, with a unanimous vote recorded.
The superintendent told trustees the security requirement stems from rules that govern football and basketball districts and reiterated this is the same agreement the district has used for several years. The transcript does not record the hourly rate or contract term; the action on the interlocal agreement was limited to approval during open session.
