Adirondack Railroad group says ridership jumped to 6,667 in 2025; rail bikes drew 2,500 visitors

He thanked local partners including Mac’s Safe Ride and the Tupper Lake Central School District for coordinating shuttle service for visitors.
Ellis noted the Adirondack Railroad is ranked ninth among USA Today’s top ten scenic railroads and said the line offers the nation’s longest scenic rail journey at 109 miles from Snow Junction near Remsen to Tupper Lake. Jim Conley, a member of ARPS’s board, said the group’s main goal is continued collaboration with the Town on use of the station during the train season. Former Village Mayor Paul Maroun reviewed the history of the rail trail and urged ongoing cooperation among the Town, ARPS and local businesses to sustain visitation.
