Board appoints Michael Shahin to DPW and Vito Catania to Assessment Review Board

The Tuckahoe Village Board on Jan. 12 appointed Michael Shahin as a laborer in the Department of Public Works and named Vito Catania to the Assessment Review Board for a term expiring Dec. 1, 2029. Deputy Mayor Darryl Taylor moved to appoint Shahin and Trustee Sarah DeRise moved to appoint Catania; both motions were seconded and carried by a vote of 5-0.
Trustees did not discuss conditions attached to either appointment during the meeting. Frank DiMarco of the Department of Public Works welcomed the new DPW hire during departmental reports. The appointments were recorded in the minutes as carried without dissent.
