Board approves several personnel moves, long-term substitute and sick bank days

On Dec. 12 the board approved multiple personnel actions on the superintendent's recommendations. The board voted 5–0 to approve the probationary appointment of Leah Easton as a Teaching Assistant Level I (commencement 11/21/24; tentative expiration 11/20/28) at the step ½ BA salary listed as $24,534 on the Instructional Staff Pay Schedule 2022–2025.
The board also approved permanent appointments for Shelley Entwistle (Office Assistant II, effective 12/18/24), Loretta Gaffney (Account Clerk/Typist, effective 12/31/24) and Jonathan Savage (Custodian/Bus Driver, effective 12/31/24); accepted the resignation of Jennifer Palermo, Office Assistant II, effective Dec. 2, 2024; approved Joan Vivelo as a long-term substitute Special Education teacher beginning mid-January 2025 at $245.34/day; and on the Sick Bank Committee recommendation approved up to 10 TOWTA sick bank days for Chloe Down. All recorded votes on these personnel items were 5–0 in favor.
