The Town of Tupper Lake convened its 2026 organizational meeting on Jan. 5. Supervisor Rick Dattola opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.; the board approved a slate of appointments, adopted procurement procedures, and approved several contracts and agreements, all by unanimous 5–0 votes.
The meeting included an executive session called at 6:01 p.m. to discuss the employment history of a particular person; the board exited at 6:13 p.m. with "No Action Taken." Business items approved included a procurement policy intended to comply with General Municipal Law, Section 104‑b; a dog control officer contract that sets pay at $700.00 per month; and a town‑attorney retainer for $26,200 for 2026. Supervisor Dattola closed by asking board members to submit questions to the Town Office before meetings.
