Burnsville board declares capital-project levy renewal passed to fund district technology

The board report states that 21,823 voters supported the measure and 11,362 voted against it.
Director Mursal moved the resolution canvassing the special election returns; Director Hume seconded the motion. The board voted in favor — Chester, Hume, Miller, Mursal and Werb — and the resolution directs the Clerk to certify the results to the county auditors in each county where the district lies and to the Commissioner of Education. The resolution text specifies the levy is to fund technology “for taxes payable in 2026 and thereafter.”
The board took the action as a formal canvass of the election returns; no amendments or further debate were recorded. The Clerk is required to complete certification steps and to follow statutorily required post-election procedures per the resolution.
