"Your voices will be heard," Schumacher told the board as he described plans to engage staff, families and community members on two forthcoming board policies: a broad instructional-technology policy and a separate policy specific to artificial intelligence. He also apologized to staff who felt the recent professional learning day was confusing, saying the district would review feedback and seek improvements. "I apologize to any of our staff who left Friday feeling confused, frustrated, or even angry about the messaging that was received and or how their time was spent," he said.
