Council approves community benefit agreements for four retail cannabis businesses

Tari Williams, Assistant City Attorney, presented Community Benefit Agreements negotiated with each of the city's four retail commercial cannabis businesses and explained the CEQA exemption under Guidelines Section 15303. Councilmember Ronn Hall moved approval of the agreements and Councilmember Laura Koval seconded. The motion passed unanimously (Ayes:5, Noes:0).
Council did not attach additional conditions beyond staff recommendations at this meeting. Staff will finalize the agreements for execution by the city and the businesses and monitor compliance as specified in each agreement.
