The Town Board approved a resolution authorizing submission of a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant application to the New York State Department of Transportation for the Tuxedo Hamlet Streetscape Revitalization Plan. The project’s total estimated cost is $6,000,000; the town will request $4,800,000 (80%) from NYSDOT and commit a local match of $1,200,000 (20%).
Deputy Supervisor Deirdre Murphy moved the resolution and Councilmember Adam Eirand seconded. The Board adopted the resolution 4 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Absent, and authorized the Town Supervisor (or designee) to execute documents related to the application. The resolution states the town will take all necessary actions to effectuate the application and the resolution takes immediate effect on February 25, 2026.
