Deputy Supervisor Deirdre Murphy told the board the town issued an RFP for the creative and engineering components of Powerhouse Park and extended the submission deadline by one week after a recent storm. The proposals will be reviewed with the Recreation Advisory Board with the goal of making a recommendation in time for spring work.
Murphy said the town's first newsletter will be released in the coming weeks to highlight key updates and that a potential local buyer with a "strong track record and compelling business plan" has been identified for the Junction property; the town is working with counsel to determine what information may be shared as discussions progress. She also said the town is coordinating with Orange County, Tuxedo Reserve and the Chamber of Commerce to organize an economic development conference in May focused on supporting local businesses and attracting investors.
The updates signal the board's continued focus on hamlet revitalization and coordinated outreach with regional partners as project planning moves forward.
