Councilmember Chris Kasker updated the board on a proposed community solar program following a prior presentation by Brad Tito of Power Market. Kasker said town attorneys reviewed and marked up a revised memorandum of agreement and the town submitted that version for acceptance.
"If accepted, the Town will move forward with the program, which is expected to provide residents with approximately 5% savings on energy bills," Kasker said. He added that the Village has executed its agreement and the town expects to follow with joint marketing to help residents enroll.
Board members said they appreciated the highway and emergency services staff for recent storm response as part of general updates; Kasker specifically thanked the Highway Department for extended hours during storms.
